Day twelve

A perfect storm of a day - literally in that it has rained hard almost all day and second in that this weekend turns out to be a fishfood festival, so the hotels in Portsmouth (which I have developed a keen dislike of) are full or over-priced ($99 for a motel 6!). I drove on and off track to Rye which I remembered from my trip up, but there the choice was a sort of angler's motel (eg rough and ready) with wifi or a slightly nicer one without. I could have driven on to the Hamptons, but no guarantee that there would be rooms there - it's the actual location of the festival. So here I am. Not quite the nice hotel I promised myself I'd finish with, but then that would have cost me $300 and I don't feel quite dressed for it. Anyway, tomorrow a slooow drive to Boston and the flight.

Postscript crisis - spilled beer on the laptop and had to take the keyboard out, rinse it, dry it, and put it back - and it works.
